Mira entered the airplane. Nervously tugging her bag. Butterflies in her stomach. Anxiously straightening her shirt. She looked around at the cabin crew and passengers. Their smile reassured and instilled some confidence within her.

As she entered the cockpit she greeted her co-pilot. This was her first flight as a pilot and in the first row was seated her mother.

She had fulfilled the promise made to her mother who worked in the airport housekeeping staff after her husband had abandoned her. A promise to give her the wings to fly along with her!
