About Me

Reading is like breathing in, writing is like breathing out. My love for reading started when I was a little girl and slowly over time, ideas started forming in my head and I used to pen them down regularly. I wrote my first poem in grade 3. It made it to the front page of the year book. Encouraged by this success, I started contributing regularly to my school magazines and class boards. In Grade 11, one of my poems was selected at the All India level catapulting me to some moderate fame at school. I went on to become the editor of our school magazine and enjoyed the role thoroughly.

As I grew up, this remained a hobby but I pursued a career in Economics – a subject I loved. I did BA Hons. Economics from Lady Shriram College and MA Economics from Delhi school of economics. I worked for a year with Hewitt associates in their analytics team before I landed my dream job at American express in the Risk analytics team. I worked there for 7 years before deciding to take a break after my son arrived.

With my little baby at home, it was hard to take out time to write. But somewhere within me burnt a deep desire to do so. As soon as my son started school, I picked up the digital pen about 1.5 years back.

I have launched this website in April 2018. As of today, my thoughts have been published in various online portals like Women’s Web, Bonobology, Readomania, Youth ki Awaaz, Momspresso (erstwhile mycity4kids), Kreative mommy, Sharing our experiences, Confused parent, Inkhorn publishing and Little passports.

I have won blogger contests and awards for my articles. I won the prestigious Orange Flower Award (Awards to recognize Digital Creative Superstars presented by Women’s Web) for Writing on LGBT+ in the year 2017. My article made it to the top 14 blogs of 2017 on Momspresso.

This journey has been beautiful so far but there are miles to go. I hope to keep writing thereby connecting with many of you and voicing opinions that many of us may have but find no outlets to express. Spreading the word is as important as knowing it.
